Frequently ASKED QUESTIONS FOR HOSTING A SCREENING
What is the runtime of Microplastic Madness?
Microplastic Madness is 76 minutes long.

Can I watch the movie before setting up a screening?
Sure! Email Marjorie at [email protected] for a password-protected preview link.

Can multiple teachers from one school screen the movie to their classes?
Yes! We can set up a link to share with multiple teachers or the entire student body!

Can I host a screening for an organization or school outside of the United States?
Yes! To date, the film has been screened in over 40 countries. We would love to bring the film’s story to your community!

I want to host my screening ASAP! If I sign up to host a screening today, how fast can we set up a screening?
Having two weeks to set up everything for your event would be preferable, but if you’d like to host your screening sooner, please reach out to us at least 48 hours before your desired screening date and we will do our best to accommodate.

Should I host an asynchronous screening?
Technically, the ASYNCHRONOUS screening is much simpler, and your audience will have more time options for watching. We would give you a link that your audience can use to watch the film during a designated day(s), up to a week.

If you host an ASYNCHRONOUS screening, you can still bring your audience together for a Q+A on ZOOM (or another platform of your choice) at a specified time.

Should I host a synchronous screening?
The advantage of the SYNCHRONOUS screening is that it creates more of a feeling of an actual live event. We would send you a link that you can use to download the movie file to your laptop or computer. You can then use the downloaded file to screen the film on the conferencing app of your choice.

It is critical, however, that you have a very reliable wifi connection for the host computer or the movie may not run smoothly. If you choose this type of screening, we suggest that you test running the entire movie the wifi and other applications you will be using.

Can someone from the Microplastic Madness team join our Q+A?
The CafCu tea loves joining audiences of all ages for post-screening Q+As, if possible. Please share possible times and dates for your Q+A and we will do our best to accommodate.. Typically, we can commit to an hour max for any Q+A or panel discussion.
